Joint Polish-Ukrainian project“PortEuropa” launched a new group for learning foreign languages. Now everyone wishing to learn Ukrainian or Polish may register on a special site absolutely for free, in turn engaging to teach one’s home tongue to the foreigners. More than 300 people have already signed in for the courses since project launching.

“We intend to promote the newly established group among our current clients, since it is a bilateral benefit. Using Skype, the Ukrainians may teach their native tongue to the neighbours and get Polish lessons instead,” says the chief editor of “PortEuropa” and the author of the language course programs Iakub Loginov.

The project “PortEuropa” is set to tighten bilateral cultural ties between Poland and Ukraine. As reported by administrative staff earlier, nearly 70,000 Ukrainians already learn Polish, as well as 6,000 Poles study Ukrainian as a foreign language.

Apart from being an educational site “PortEuropa” has repeatedly requested to enlarge the number of long-term Schengen visas for the Ukrainians.
